I decided to blog into my computer instead of hand writing into my journal. In terms of blog time as it relates to real time, this post delineates a shift in focus from what exists below this post and, therefore, further back in time.

This feature of one post appearing below and also further back in time while another post appearing above and also further ahead in time happens because that is how a Wordpress blog is programmed. This need to be upside down with respect to time arises because, when the reader selects some category to catch up on, the last thing they want to have to do is to scroll to the bottom of the selected category blog.

Below this post exists the original claim for the Human Trust Account (HTA). Above this post exist subsequent writings exploring the HTA in depth.

A VOLUNTEER receives a two year education. Tuition and books are paid for by the CORPS. Additional income may be earned in various on-the-job work experiences in nursing homes, in home health care situations, hospice care, community service, Meals on Wheels delivery, and so forth. Upon graduation that VOLUNTEER works two years full-time in some local community public health care facility, nursing home, and so forth. At the completion of this four year duty cycle the VOLUNTEER enters the regular workforce debt free (of their CORP education).

A VOLUNTEER may then re-enlist for another four year duty cycle (two more years education and two more years full-time work) in the Public Health Nurse Corps.

I just signed up for an account at http://www.CNN.com/ and they have presented me with an option “Connect your CNN & Facebook accounts”. I wonder what happens if I do that…I think I’ll pass on making any outside connection to Facebook…thank you Facebook for your predatory opt-out policy.

In my research I encountered http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sen-michael-bennet/facebook-and-internet-pri_b_593635.html and became concerned about Facebook’s predatory opt-out strategy/policy.

Upon further research I encountered http://scitech.blogs.cnn.com/2010/05/17/group-plans-quit-facebook-day/?hpt=T2 and became enthralled with the notion of deleting my Facebook account.

Social networking can become an addiction for some people. I gave serious consideration to deleting my true identity account at Facebook.

I considered setting up a fictional identity account that people could befriend if they wanted to know what was up in my mind and my life.

I didn’t know one could delete a Facebook account. If that is true maybe I’ll do it today. Better yet, maybe I’ll create a swarm of fictitious accounts and interconnect them with themselves and everybody else. Anybody got any better ideas?

It is now 8:30 AM and nature beckons. I’ll ponder the matter fully before doing something hasty that I might later regret. After all, it is Memorial Day and I must do something to celebrate the day.

It is imperative that greed driven capitalist Leviathans behave in a moral and ethical manner when it comes to wreaking harm upon humans. BP Oil should see to this matter immediately for several reasons.

First, and foremost, of course is the human toll that must be recognized and dealt with.

Beyond that, those receiving employment will hopefully look upon their unemployment status with a determination to use their new found free time to participate in Gulf cleanup and wildlife preservation activities.

Thirdly, this may be the best hope that BP oil has for its continued operation upon American soil. Humans will boycott anything with the letters BP on it…think of the cost of having to rename all those gas stations…that cost is quantifiable and at least that much may be justified in making Gulf oil unemployment payments.

Mr. President, this real and true Gulf cleanup operation is–after all is said and done–the real goal of mitigating the disaster. Once BP Oil has directly and indirectly fulfilled their obligations to the humans involved…no matter the cost…then an Executive Order pardoning BP Oil from all further lawsuits might be in order…let the Supreme Court rule upon such an Executive Order…it is up to you to decide when enough is enough.

There will be insane political party types who will propose that BP Oil setup its own Gulf Unemployment Office. Please do not be swayed by such a ludicrous proposal. The key is that Government MUST place itself squarely between a Leviathan like BP Oil and the humans whose lives has been affected.

The Unemployment Compensation funds must come through the state run operations. If necessary you may, by Executive Order, recommend the non-affected states immediately dispatch (all expenses and salaries to be repaid by BP Oil) at least one front line worker, highly experienced with Unemployment Compensation, to arrive in the appropriate offices of the affected Gulf states and for one week assist with processing Unemployment Compensation claims. Everyone who is made unemployed after day 1 of the BP Oil disaster in the Gulf must be presumed to have been made unemployed by the Disaster.

Any human receiving Unemployment Compensation who participates 35 hours per week on Gulf cleanup activities must be excused from looking for work and their UC money must not be cut off.

BP Oil should immediately deposit one BILLION dollars into the Unemployment Compensation Fund of the State of Louisiana to see to the immediate needs of the newly unemployed. BP Oil must continue to make all such unemployment payments until the economy can return these real human beings back to their job equivalent employment or better.

I will be brief. Were the disaster mine to solve I would advise thusly:

Let the ground heated warm oil and saltwater rise naturally by convection to the surface inside a sluice tube. Apply the principles of Archimedes. Call in a stream of tanker ships to carry the saltwater and oil laden streams away for land based processing and cleanup.

Let the oil and saltwater combination be separated by gravity, each according to its nature, as they crawl their way to the surface doing gravity’s dance of separation. Let the saltwater’s water be recovered by contained condensation. Let the final distilled water be put to some socially conscious purpose. Let some portion of the recovered salts be fired into oblivion in a plasma furnace, as a penance offering to the universe.

Otherwise the Gulf becomes a toxic wasteland for the thousands of years that the oil flows. And it leaks from there into the Gulf Stream current and on some future day perhaps blackens the ice at the poles.

Let it be that the science of the BP oil disaster be taught freely by means of training videos so that all humans might understand the peril of the collapse of civilization that might be triggered by just such a disaster. Explain how it is that science and mathematics are applied and how it was that such an environment threatening technology was loosened upon earth without there being in place some bigger technology prepared and ready to be applied. Let this be a lesson for our posterity.

Let there be formed a Cooperative among the oil Leviathans such that they levy among themselves, each according to its gross revenue, a fee. The combined levy must purchase a mini navy of surface and undersea vessels with equipment designed for the containment of ocean based drilling disasters and spills.

P.S. On a personal note, while you were campaigning in Butte, Montana I was at Chief Plenty Coup’s Spring praying that you would win the election and that you would be granted the wisdom to do good work. I recollect that being around the time of the Fourth of July. Thank you so very much for your efforts and your success on Health Care. We still need the Public Health Nurse Corps to be activated. Thank you also for your support of Financial Reform. You are doing a fabulous job. Thank you for being willing to serve in public office.

P.P.S. Industry and commerce must direct itself to constructing the necessary equipment at the fastest rate possible. This will be beneficial to commerce. It may be a great application of the rocket scientists at Nasa. It will be good for the economy. You have the Executive Authority to command such a first response to an environmental disaster which, upon your watch, may be likened to Chernobyl.

NOTES ARE BELOW:

The idea is that the warm oil and saltwater rising in a convection sluice tube and being pumped into waiting tankers will work. It might work better with a stream of air injected in at appropriate depths. The sluice tube can be miles long and suspended by buoy.

The oil circulates along the top of the tube and the saltwater tends to flow under the oil. This is the natural effect of a oil/water mixture flowing up a gentle hill at a 3:1 slope. Let the oil flow upward at a gentle slope from the seafloor to the surface.

Pray for no hurricanes aimed at Louisiana.

The proposed clamping assembly is explained below

1. robot affixed magnetic collar
2. iron ring
3. Sluice tube to surface
4. Stream of tankers carrying away mix for land-based processing and cleanup

MORE IDEAS

Perhaps a more gentle 12:1 slope is achieved by a twelve mile long spiral complete with buoys, constructed in pieces in a dry dock, and towed into place for final assembly.

A buoyed single, double, or triple helix descending from the surface of the water to the sea floor might work. The only universal requirement is that it be uphill all the way.

Assuming the structure has near neutral buoyancy it should be easily assembled at the surface and sunk down into the water below the construction on top. Each buoy would need to control its own ballast as it descends. The structural stress would need to be monitored with buoyancy adjusted by the robots.

The cost of constructing a triple helix sluice and getting it to the sea floor is staggering. The alternative has taken thirty days to construct and does not seem to be working very well. Perhaps a combination of the two approaches will work best.

Human civilization demands a clear vision and a steady hand. I urge you, Mr. President to, with all due haste secure the area of the spill and see yourself to the cleanup effort. Let it never be said that, upon your watch the Gulf of Louisiana became an environmental wasteland. BP will repay the United States for such an emergency response mobilization. Perhaps the Coast Guard should be mobilized to build oil/saltwater capture, containment, and transport vessels, ever ready for just such oil spill emergencies, worldwide. As a Nation we owe the World a huge penance for the damage wreaked by the cozy Washington lobbyist political corruption that permitted this to happen in the first place.

OTHER IDEAS AND NOTES

Create an autonomous robot cleaner vessel capable of finding and capturing underwater stray plumes of oil in the open ocean. It will naturally float with its bladder full to the surface of the ocean for easy retrieval. A fleet of such vessels, capable of deployment anywhere on the ocean’s surface, will be an asset whose cost will be recovered on first use from the oil companies involved.

When a surface ship operates, like a mobile cleaner with an oil capturing conveyor belt of membrane buckets, upon the surface of the ocean, it is a different matter. Perhaps, loosen a swarm of such devices surrounding the mother ship, each connected by means of an umbilical cord to the mother ship. Perhaps each oil slick capture ship protrudes a wide scoop and tows a bladder or a tar collection barge.

Assuming such oil spill lapping vessels existed it would be an easier matter to sweep the ocean clean of its oil spills.

If the nation of the United States does not act upon its own to contain the oil and tar, then BP will seek the least cost solution because it is in its nature to do so. The least cost solution is not acceptable. Human civilization must hold itself to a higher standard of morality.

SUNDAY, MAY 30, 2010 — HOT OIL BALLOON

Suppose a hot air style balloon skin could be sunk and tethered in place above the oil leak. Vent tubes connected into the top of the balloon could collect the oil and gas mixture and direct it towards the surface. Perhaps this would work by sucking the oil and gas mixture into a tube connected to the surface.

The balloon assemblage, perhaps laid out by robots on the sea floor, could be winched into place by robots in such a manner that the opening of the balloon is pulled across the spill head. Incidentally, by timing the first filling of the balloon the volume flow rate of the spill may be ascertained.

The entire hot oil and gas balloon may be dropped into place from above, adjusted to slightly negative buoyancy for the descent, and guided into place by robots. The natural drag of the water will tend to inflate the balloon and slow its descent.

Once the balloon and its tethered ballast boxes reach the bottom and quickly lose their remaining buoyancy, the balloon will begin to fill. As the balloon fills with oil and gas it will have a tendency to rise up from the sea floor towards the surface of the water. In this regard the balloon will be self filling. If the balloon overfills, the excess oil and gas will leak out the bottom of the balloon.

Here are some writings from yesterday and this morning. The day finds me up early and hard at the task of publishing at my blog. Congratulations in having landed a decent half time job. Good luck on finding the other half. I am proud of you for having attained the first step of getting back to gainful employment.

4:44 AM 34 degrees F, in Woodbury, Minnesota it is a glorious morning and I must be soon into the shower and off to work. However I have until 4:58 to write you a letter. I will do it the way most people send letters these days, by typing them into a computer keyboard.

You told me you do your computer browsing at the Library. I am so happy that the Billings Library is properly funded. Perhaps you should give them a resume. Your computer skills would be helpful in keeping the computers (available to the poor) operating properly. You would be able to assist in many ways with the computer’s smooth operation and the occasional human needing assistance. Don’t know about working at the library but it is a noble profession, that being a servant of humanity at the level of helping the poor gain access to computers.

4:20 PM and 61 degrees F in Woodbury. I am home for the day and thought I would continue this letter until I am called to dinner. Your mom is such a great cook that I look forward to each meal. You are a great cook too. You will soon have the freedom to be able to feed yourself and friends delicious meals that you prepare. Yumm!

I must say that blogging you a letter is a new experience for me. The problem is that it takes time to reread and revise. I think I still prefer hand writing but we’ll give direct blogging a fair test.

I guess part of it for me is that I have not done a proper backup of the blog because I do not know how and have not the time to learn. It is a hassle to have good backups.

I have attached a letter I wrote to you, concerning your walks alongside the rail yard of what used to be called the Northern Pacific Railroad. That was the railroad your great grandfather Ira Sullivan worked for while he helped his wife Lydia raise their three young boys Oliver, the oldest, Wilber, and Robert, the youngest.

Oliver and his younger brothers grew up in Laurel, Montana where their father worked in the hump yard of the Northern Pacific (NP) Railroad. He spent his days and nights, depending on his shift, switching rail cars from train to train, turning the occasional car that needed to be turned to face the other direction, so the proper door would open when the car was spotted at its final destination siding.

Out of Laural some trains went south towards Denver, some went west towards Seattle, and some went east towards Saint Paul and Chicago. Your great grandfather Ira helped sort those trains in the Laurel yard. If you are ever of the mind to write a nice simulation game I think a rail yard of the 1920’s and 30’s would make an interesting setting.

Your grandfather Oliver Sullivan was the General Yardmaster for the Billings rail yard of the Northern Pacific Railroad in the 1950’s through the 1970’s. As you walk alongside the rail yards I hope you will remember your ancestors, men who at your age used to walk those very same streets of Billings fifty to a hundred years before.

Should you need a place to call home you would be well advised to claim Billings, Montana as your ancestral home. Perhaps I will someday drive with you up to Laurel and I will show you your grandfather’s boyhood home. It is now owned by a cousin whose mother Mabel was one of the sisters of your great grandmother Lydia.

Mabel and Lydia raised their families a couple blocks apart among the 5 acre farm area east of Laurel, Montana. Lydia owned four five acre tracts. One for her and one for each of her three boys.

The two sisters grew up in Strum, Wisconsin. Lydia was trained as a teacher. Upon graduation she decided that she would travel upon the recently completed Northern Pacific Railroad on her way to Butte, Montana.

“Where are you headed, miss?”, the Conductor inquired.

“Butte Montana, I am going there to be a school teacher.”

“Oh miss. You don’t want to go to Butte. It is too rough of a town for someone so refined as yourself. Why don’t you get off at Belgrade and walk over to see the Superintendent of Schools. He is a friend of mine who will gladly hire you to teach in Belgrade.”

The railroad conductor put your great grandmother off at Belgrade, Montana with a reminder to introduce herself to the Superintendent. She did and was hired as a school teacher. She worked there until meeting Ira who wooed her and wedded her and moved her to Whitehall. They followed the railroad to Laurel.

Please see the attached photograph of your great grandfather in a wagon being pulled by a goat. The sign says 1917 when Oliver would have been two years old. Perhaps they lived in Livingston for a time or perhaps the picture was taken on the trip down to Laurel. And then please enjoy the recent picture of 91 year Oliver four years ago studying Vista.

Should you decide to claim Billings, Montana as your ancestral home, you can proudly tell people that you have railroading, coal mining, and computers in your blood. The coal mining comes from you other great grandfather Ralph Lumley, out of Red Lodge, Montana.

Should Red Lodge beckon you, know that it is the childhood growing up place of your grandmother Helen, who married Oliver. Between income from the Red Lodge mine and income from selling peas to the Red Lodge cannery and milk to the Red Lodge dairy Ralph and Mary Lumley raised their family in Red Lodge during the Great Depression. These and other family stories will each be told in their turn.

Meditation, prayer, contemplation of Nature, and similar mental operating frameworks give rise to the GodIsWithMe feeling.

If it is not carefully managed, the GodIsWithMe feelings can give rise to the MyBodyFeelsFear feeling and, in some people, feelings of MyBodyFeelsPanic.

The pursuit of the GodIsWithMe feeling is a fundamental operating mode of some people as evidenced by the often unrecognized small and great Works of the human species, such as are observable in public and everyday life.

It is interesting to observe the meeting of two or more humans experiencing simultaneous GodIsWithUs feelings. It is useful to understand that these mutual feelings are especially useful upon the fields of war and play, in pursuit of some common purpose.

The GodIsWithUs feeling has fallen into disfavor in some quarters. This shift of consciousness sometimes raises AngstIsWithUs feelings combined with some UsIsBetterThanThough feelings. Such feelings comprise the biochemical Mind/Body soup of human life.

Let us consider a commonplace application of the GodIsWithMe feeling. When one calls forth the soul of a beloved human, that connection is best obtained in the presence of the GodIsWithMe feeling. These explanations seek to explain the phenomena of life at a fundamental operating level within the human body.

Few and far between are the humans I have met who would publically deny and denounce the existence of all things sipritual. It would be interesting to ask them if they have ever felt the GodIsWithMe feeling.

NOTE: It is important to distinguish between the GodIsWithMe and the IAmGod feeling which is part of a delusional mental operating framework. The GodIsWithMe feeling is commonplace and perfectly normal. It is a great feeling to have available for that final walk down the valley of the slide unto death. I always say, it is better to believe and be wrong than to not believe and be wrong. This is because to not believe and be wrong is to have lost the opportunity of a life in body to experience the fullness of a spiritual life.

We resume the discussion today with the IsWithMe class of feelings. Yesterday we explored the GodIsWithMe feeling, which means the exact same thing as the HigherPowerIsWithMe feeling taught by members of Alcoholics Anonymous. The main point is to imagine the highest power that you can imagine and then name it, call it to you, and feel its presence.

BACK TO THE IsWithMe FEELING

The IsWithMe feeling comprises the mental inventory namespace of the operations commonly referred to as the “centering” ones self. The IsWithMe inventory and naming is part of a mental ritual of gathering all of one’s resources together. It is part of the ritualistic framework that is calming to the body. The CenterIsWithMe feeling best lives in the area of the mind which is the home of the biochemical operating state of being known by many names all meaning the exact same biochemical phenomena called the GodIsWithMe feeling, and any other phenomena attached thereto.
